Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Category Manager to join our team. The Category Manager will be responsible for managing a portfolio of products and services for our clients, ensuring that they meet their needs and expectations.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in procurement and supply chain management, as well as excellent communication and organizational skills.

Key Responsibilities:

– Develop and implement category strategies to meet business objectives and drive cost savings

– Conduct market research and analysis to identify potential suppliers and negotiate contracts

– Monitor market trends and identify opportunities for cost reduction and efficiency improvements

– Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and develop sourcing plans

– Manage supplier relationships and performance, including contract negotiations and ongoing evaluations

– Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures, as well as relevant industry regulations

– Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners

– Monitor and report on key performance indicators to track progress and identify areas for improvement

– Stay updated on industry developments and best practices to continuously improve category management processes

– Train and mentor junior team members to develop their skills and knowledge in category management

Qualifications:

– Bachelor’s degree in business, supply chain management, or a related field

– Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement and supply chain management, preferably in a consulting or engineering industry

– Strong understanding of category management principles and best practices

– Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

– Proven track record of driving cost savings and efficiency improvements through strategic sourcing

– Ability to analyze data and make data-driven decisions

– Proficient in Microsoft Office and procurement software

– Experience with project management and cross-functional collaboration

– Knowledge of relevant industry regulations and compliance requirements
