Maintenance Fitter – Food Manufacturing

Afternoon Shift: Monday–Friday, 2:30pm–10:30pm

Location: Kingsgrove

Pay: $50–$55 per hour + 15% shift loading + overtime + super

Our client, a rapidly growing national food manufacturer, is seeking an experienced Maintenance Fitter to join their expanding team. We are looking for candidates with solid experience in FMCG, food, beverage, packaging, liquid processing, or other high-speed manufacturing environments. This role suits someone who enjoys hands‑on work, problem‑solving, and supporting continuous, safe production.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out preventive and breakdown maintenance on modern food, filling, and packaging machinery
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system faults
• Assist production teams with line changeovers, machine setup, and optimisation
• Ensure compliance with WHS, GMP, and site safety standards
• Collaborate with operators, technicians, and engineering personnel to support efficient operations

What We’re Looking For

• Certificate III Mechanical Fitting (or equivalent trade qualification)
• Experience in FMCG, food, beverage, pharmaceutical or similar environments
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting and fault‑finding capability
• Effective communication skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team
• A proactive, safety‑focused approach with a commitment to quality
