Salary: MES-3 $104,180 – $116,693 p.a. (pro rata)

Appointment: Temporary 12‑month, part‑time 30 hours per week

About the Role

Senior Medical Scientist based at the Central Adelaide Local Health Network (The Royal Adelaide Hospital). You will manage the gait analysis clinic, oversee daily operations, ensure accurate data collection and reporting to support clinicians, and engage with surgeons, nurses, administrative staff, and industry partners to improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee clinic operations and maintain quality standards in data collection and reporting.
  • Collaborate with clinical teams to develop and implement effective treatment strategies.
  • Contribute to orthopaedic research projects, including motion capture and data analysis.
  • Assist in preparing publications, conference presentations, and policy documents.
  • Maintain meticulous records and meet project deadlines.

Qualifications

  • Honours degree in mechanical, electrical/electronics, mechatronic, biomechanical engineering or equivalent.
  • Proven experience in orthopaedic research with motion capture technology and data analysis.
  • Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
