About the opportunity

Are you passionate about understanding the needs and experiences of customers? Do you enjoy conducting research and generating valuable insights? We have an exciting opportunity for a Research Advisor – Voice of Customer (VoC) professional to join the Strategy & Research division at WorkSafe.

As the Research Advisor Voice of Customer you’ll provide authoritative research advice, develop best‑practice surveys and deliver high‑quality insights that improve customer experience across WorkSafe. Acting as the organisation’s subject matter expert in survey design and VoC methodologies, you’ll work closely with senior stakeholders to guide evidence‑based decision‑making.

Key accountabilities

  • Responsible for the continuous operation and day‑to‑day management of the CheckPoint platform with an annual reach of 30,000 Victorians and 21,000 clients, ensuring efficient and effective delivery of the feedback program analysis and reporting.
  • Lead the governance for the real‑time CheckPoint feedback platform, including managing ongoing performance and relationships with the platform vendor.
  • Create, refine, and design external surveys for WorkSafe, ensuring adherence to best practice standards and developing reporting for business performance purposes.
  • Engage with and manage external stakeholders tasked with the delivery of procured research per the WorkSafe Register of Research Providers (WRRP).
  • Coach and train internal stakeholders on survey development, data interpretation, and the value of the VoC platform.

About you

You’re an experienced research professional who thrives on turning data into meaningful insights. You combine strong analytical capability with the communication skills to influence senior stakeholders and drive organisational improvement.

You’ll also bring

  • Proven experience in qualitative, quantitative and evaluative research, ideally in government, health or similar sectors.
  • Demonstrated expertise in survey design and development.
  • Advanced skills in Power BI, Excel and data storytelling.
  • Experience managing real‑time feedback platforms, vendor relationships, and VoC projects.
  • Strong presentation facilitation and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • The ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and practical recommendations.
