Overview

About Dimer Health – Dimer Health is a pioneering digital health company transforming transitional care. By combining AI-driven technology with clinical delivery, we are redefining the patient journey from hospital to home. We are seeking an exceptional Head of Engineering to lead our evolution into an AI-first, product-driven company and help build the future of hybrid AI-human care to improve lives across the United States.

Role Overview

The Head of Engineering owns Dimer Health’s technical strategy, architecture, and execution. This is a hands-on leadership role — you will lead a team of engineering professionals while actively building core products and features.

Key Responsibilities

  • Define and drive system architecture, scalability, reliability, and security.
  • Lead and champion AI-enabled development across the entire product development lifecycle.
  • Establish robust development lifecycle practices (Agile, CI/CD, testing, DevOps).
  • Guide and coach engineers through design reviews, code reviews, and continuous feedback.
  • Actively write production code and lead feature development.
  • Partner closely with AI, Clinical, Admin, and Product teams to develop innovative products and solutions.
  • Build and nurture a high-performance engineering culture grounded in ownership and quality.

Requirements

  • Senior software engineer with 10+ years of experience building scalable software solutions and leading engineering teams.
  • Proven experience building software products for the U.S. healthcare industry (strong understanding of regulatory, compliance, and data security considerations).
  • Proven track record of leveraging AI development tools (e.g., Claude Code, Codex) to accelerate engineering velocity.
  • Tech stack: strong proficiency with Nuxt/Vue.js (preferred) or Next/React, Node.js (API design and server logic), and hands-on experience with AWS (deployment, scaling, reliability). Major plus – Flutter experience.
  • Proven experience designing, building, and securely deploying AI/LLM-powered capabilities in production-grade environments.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead from the front — remaining hands-on while scaling and mentoring an engineering team.

Personal Attributes

  • Deeply mission-driven with a strong commitment to improving patient outcomes.
  • High-ownership leader who operates with accountability and sets a high technical bar.
  • Systems thinker balancing speed, quality, scalability, and regulatory rigor.
  • Team player and collaborative partner to clinical and product teams, able to translate complex needs into elegant solutions.
  • Pragmatic about AI adoption, focused on measurable impact and responsible implementation.

Location

  • Hybrid (approximately 2 days per week in the office) — Florham Park, NJ.

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Salary Range: $220,000 – $240,000 per year. The displayed salary range reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by job-related skills, experience, relevant education or training. Offers are typically near the midpoint of the posted range.
  • This role is equity-eligible as part of Dimer’s long-term incentive program.
  • Benefits: Eligible Flexible Paid Time Off.
  • Health Reimbursement Arrangement (HRA): Reimbursement for eligible medical, dental, or vision expenses, including the cost of your own individual health insurance plan purchased through your state’s Health Insurance Marketplace (Exchange), up to a set amount each year.
  • Basic Life Insurance — premium paid in full by Dimer Health.
