- Up to $123,580 p/a +12% superannuation pending experience
- Northern Territory location
- Relocation assistance of up to $2,000 is available for interstate applicants
- Accommodation subsidy of $350 per week for up to 12 weeks.
- Temporary accommodation options available (subject to availability)
About the Organization
You will be working for an Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisation dedicated to providing a comprehensive range of health services to the community in a welcoming and culturally sensitive manner. Their commitment to primary healthcare encompasses various clinics, including general care, chronic disease management, women’s and children’s health, men’s health, and dental services. The organisation also delivers programs that focus on early intervention, treatment, and integrated care in areas such as alcohol and other drugs, social and emotional wellbeing, justice, and individual support.
Responsibilities will include but not be limited to
- Deliver comprehensive, culturally safe midwifery and primary health care, including antenatal, postnatal, and breastfeeding support.
- Deliver preventative health services, including immunisations, cervical screening, STI screening, and contraception.
- Conduct health assessments, diagnosis, and treatment in line with CARPA protocols.
- Manage client care through case management, follow-up, and referrals.
- Support care planning and participate in case conferences.
- Maintain accurate clinical documentation using patient information systems.
- Assist in emergency care and work collaboratively with doctors and health professionals.
- Deliver community-based care, including home visits and health education
To be considered you will need:
- Dual AHPRA registration with no restrictions
- Minimum of 3 years primary health care / midwifery experience working across antenatal, postnatal & lactation support
- Neonatal Care experience desirable
- Experience working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait islander communities ideal but not essential
- Current Driver’s License
- Up-to-date vaccinations and core competencies
- Must have full working rights for Australia (i.e. Permanent Resident or Citizen of Australia/New Zealand, or a current, valid visa with no restrictions).
